Every cabaret bill keeps a slot for the double act. Spectrum and Soft Spectrum each carry the full rainbow in stripes, and each plays it on the skin its own way.

Spectrum is pure paraffin, built to drip. Held parallel, it sends down bright, hot points of colour that set fast and hold their warmth, one stripe after the next, cooling flexible into long many-coloured casts.

Soft Spectrum is a paraffin soy blend, built to pour. Let the melt pool gather, tip, and the colours run together in a broader, gentler warmth that can puddle and blend right on the skin before it lifts away in pieces.

Lights down, blacklight on, and both glow at once. The blue and purple bands glow softer than the rest under UV.

For the novice Scene Artist working out whether drip or pour is theirs, and the experienced one who wants both on the same canvas.

Specifications:

• Contents: 1 x Spectrum (pure paraffin dripping pillar), 1 x Soft Spectrum (paraffin soy blend pouring pillar)
• Ingredients: Pure food-grade paraffin wax, paraffin and soy wax blend, skin-safe UV-reactive colourant, cotton wicks
• Melting point: Spectrum 48 to 50 degrees Celsius; Soft Spectrum 46 to 48 degrees Celsius
• Weight: 160g each
• Dimensions: 15cm high, 4.5cm diameter each
• Each pillar is hand poured, so rings, colour variation, minor settling and dye flecks can occur and don't affect use

How to Use:

Spectrum: once the wax melts around the base of the wick, hold it parallel to the canvas and rotate it in the hand to melt evenly. Avoid inverting it.

Soft Spectrum: light it and let a melt pool form before you tip.

For both, test the first drops on your own forearm. Height controls temperature: higher is cooler, lower is hotter. Build one deliberate drop at a time.

Safety:

Formulated for wax play. Keep away from eyes, face, broken skin and hair. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Trim the wick between sessions. Consent and communication before the first drop, always.

Spectrum is pure paraffin and holds its heat longer than the soy blend. Keep it moving so the wax never builds up in one place; built-up paraffin runs significantly hotter than its melting point. Don't apply oil under paraffin wax.
