OLOROSO Aged in the sherry cask.
Distillers fill old oloroso sherry casks with new spirit and let the oak give it colour, deep amber shading into brown. Those same browns hang from this handle in the Garrison, cut from floater cowhide.
Floater is full grain and thick. Short and quick in the hand, it lands a deep, full thud, and the edges of each fall answer with sting.
Whisky and chocolate falls share the head, and the flesh side shows rust when they fan. The braid works chocolate and tan up to metallic bronze Turk's head knots. The Collared Foxy fox is cast into the antique metal end cap. One of a kind. Once it goes, it is gone.
For the intermediate Top who has outgrown a first flogger and wants weight in a small frame.
