Red at the edge of the visible.

Infrared is the light just past red, invisible to the eye and felt on the skin as warmth. William Herschel found it in 1800 by placing a thermometer beyond the red end of a prism. This one is deep cherry under ordinary light.

Under the blacklight the cherry lifts into a glowing orange-red, the colour of a poker left in the coals, the warmest-looking shade in the line beside Atomic. The drop hits hot, then the warmth settles in and stays.

Pure paraffin holds that red at full depth, so a single line reads strong against bare skin. It drips into slow stalactites where the wax runs long and comes away in heavy, unbroken layers.

For the Wax Bottom who wants to see exactly where the heat landed.

Specifications:

  • Ingredients: Pure food-grade paraffin wax, skin-safe UV-reactive colourant, cotton wick
  • Melting point: 48 to 50 degrees Celsius
  • Weight: 160g
  • Dimensions: 15cm high, 4.5cm diameter
  • Format: Dripping Pillar
  • Handmade in Australia

How to Use:

Light the candle. Once the wax starts to melt around the base of the wick, tip parallel and test the first drops on your own forearm before the canvas. Avoid inverting the candle, hold parallel to the canvas and rotate in the hand to melt wax evenly. Height controls temperature. Higher is cooler, lower is hotter. Build from there, one deliberate drop at a time.

Safety:

Formulated for wax play. Keep away from eyes, face, broken skin and hair. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Trim the wick between sessions. Consent and communication before the first drop, always.

Paraffin retains heat longer than soy. Never let it pool on the skin, as pooled wax can run significantly hotter than the stated melting point and risks burns. Don't apply oil underneath this wax.

Shipping & Discretion:

Every order ships in a plain black box, at times inside a black poly mailer for extra protection. The packaging carries no branding, no logo, no hint of what's inside.
